I was born in Belgium but raised in a Turkish household, and much like many other second generation muslim kids, we had to comply with our parents' choices for us. Which felt like an everlasting soul search.

At 27 I moved to Miami for love and within a year, I discovered I could be whatever I wanted to be, so I started creating. 2 things stuck to me, a painting brush and a film camera. With these two, I've been finding myself faster than I have ever did before.

The two mediums work together for me. As I photograph my surroundings, I take inspiration from ot to create any painting I want to make.
